In the government's words: "This is a once in a generation opportunity to set the NHS on a path for the future."
The consultation is calling on responses from the workforce and the public, and is open until 2nd December 2024.
Do you have clients who could share their story of Dramatherapy?
The government are particularly interested to hear from service-users to inform the NHS ten year plan.
Lobbying from health charities will be particularly powerful, so if you or clients have affiliations with groups who could speak to the value of dramatherapy, please let them know.
Our engagement with NHS representatives, such as Beverley Harden, suggests that there is a demand for ‘more and different’ within the NHS, which means that services will also be at risk of cuts if there is insufficient evidence of demand.
One area of focus, following the Darzi report, is to shift NHS resources from hospital services to the community.
Do you have ideas on how our profession can contribute to this shift? If so, please get in touch with us.
We will contribute the ideas to the Allied Health Professionals Federation's (AHPf) joint lobbying of government.
Let's build a cacophony of voices speaking up for the value of Dramatherapy!
