On behalf of Swane Parchment at Kingston University London, BADth is inviting members who plan or provide support for Black autistic and ADHD individuals in the UK to participate in a confidential, one-hour research interview exploring the barriers and successes within these communities.
At BADth, we are pleased to share a valuable research opportunity and invite our members to contribute their professional expertise to an important ongoing study.
Swane Parchment, a PhD student at Kingston University London funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), is currently investigating the barriers, facilitators, and lived experiences surrounding diagnosis and support for Black autistic and ADHD (including AuDHD) individuals in the UK.
As practitioners, your on-the-ground experience is incredibly valuable to this study. Swane is looking to interview professionals to better understand what helps or hinders the process of seeking a diagnosis, as well as the unique challenges and successes involved in providing or planning support for this community.
How You Can Participate
If you are currently providing—or planning the provision of—support to Black autistic individuals or Black individuals with ADHD in the UK, please consider sharing your insights.

Format: A one-hour interview conducted either in person (at a mutually convenient location), online via Microsoft Teams, or through live, synchronous written text.

Privacy: To protect your confidentiality, all participation is completely anonymised.

Ethics: This study has been fully approved by the Kingston University Research Ethics Committee.
